(Pug Pharm), a Canadian online developer focusing on social networking games, announced that it has received financial support from the Canada Media Fund (CMF) Experimental Stream administered through Telefilm Canada.</p>
<p>“This current investment will allow our team to focus on taking our social networking game prototype to full launch with a sophisticated user interface, advance game-play, and a fully scalable infrastructure,” stated Steve Bocska, CEO of Pug Pharm.</p>
<p>Pug Pharm received this product-phase funding through a competitive process with companies from across Canada in the new media sector including games, websites, mobile, and software applications.</p>

<p>Some high drama unfolding at the Pug Pharm offices as a chemical fire and toxic fumes have kept our team away from their desks for the past few days.</p>

<p>Fortunately, all Pug Pharm workers are provided with Hazmat suits upon signing their employment agreements, and undergo gene splicing making them genetically resistant to hydrogen cyanide.</p>
<p>Even more fortunately, our office is tucked back in the building away from the source of the burning foam. And our team got out quickly Friday afternoon immediately when the alarms sounded, and have stayed away since (unlike many residents, who returned to the building and spent the whole night there while the fumes kept spewing).</p>
<p>Props to the Pug Pharm team for battling through these challenging circumstances and keeping the production momentum heading in the right direction.</p>
